ATAG has a large range of boilers, including what they describe as the ‘the combination boiler of the future’ (the iC Economiser). ATAG also offers compact sized combis which are popular with families short on space.
The iC Economiser Plus is described as ‘the future of combi boilers’ by ATAG and it’s their most popular boiler. The Economiser is one of our favourite combi boilers because it features unrivalled engineering and excellent energy efficiency. The Economiser has a built-in flue gas heat recovery system (FGHRS). FGHRS are energy saving devices that make boilers more efficient by capturing and reusing the waste heat from your boiler that would otherwise have escaped out of your flue or chimney. And because ATAG take energy efficiency seriously, it also has an in-built weather compensator. Weather compensators monitor both the temperature inside your home, and the temperature outside, and adjusts your boiler’s operation accordingly.

One of the nifty features of the ATAG iC Economiser Plus is that it has built-in FGHRS. Flue Gas Heat Recovery Systems or ‘FGHRS’ are energy saving devices that enable your boiler to reuse or ‘recycle’ heat that would otherwise be wasted as gases out of the flue. This means that you’ll need to burn less fuel to heat your home, saving you money on your energy bills, whilst also reducing your carbon footprint. Using FGHRS is one of the four ways that new combi boilers can comply with the ‘Boiler Plus’ legislation.
As part of the consultation process leading up to the implementation of Boiler Plus, independent tests presented to the Government concluded that if half a million FGHRS were installed in homes, 56,209,150m3 of gas would be saved and 114,734,118kg of carbon dioxide emissions saved. So FGHRS is a great way to reduce your carbon footprint!
The ATAG iC Economiser Plus is a combination or ‘combi’ boiler. Combi boilers are compact all-rounders that provide both the heating and hot water for your home. Unlike conventional or heat-only boilers, combis don’t need a separate cold water storage tank or an external hot water cylinder in your attic – everything it needs is inside the unit. The Economiser is available in three heating outputs (27kW, 35kW, 39kW) to suit a range of different homes and lifestyles.
The ATAG iC are compact, high performance, intelligent combi boilers. They are A-rated for energy efficiency and adding an ATAG ONE or TADO V3+ internet-connected Smart controller can further boost your heating system efficiency to an impressive 98% (also known as A+). As with the Economiser, these boilers have built-in weather compensators, and come with a hefty warranty when installed by an ATAG Selected Partner.

ATAG iS Boiler Installation
With an ATAG iS system boiler you’ll be choosing one of the most energy efficient boilers in Europe and you’ll love its easy to operate simplicity too. What makes ATAG system boilers different, is the in-built ErP pump. This controls the heat given out by the boiler, ensuring your boiler is as energy efficient as possible, saving you money year-on-year. System boilers are traditionally fitted with an unvented hot cylinder which provides an increased capacity of hot water. The fact that the pump and controls are contained within the boiler casing counts towards a simple and space saving solution.

The highly rated tado app enables you to schedule and control your heating and hot water from anywhere, as well as providing insights and reports about your home climate and showing you the energy savings made by tado. Tado is also compatible with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Google Assistant, meaning you can control your heating and hot water with your voice, as well as integrating it into routines with other smart home devices.
